Welcome to my blog. My name is Caroline, I am a mother, the owner of http://www.mothernurtureyoga.com.au and as the blog name suggests, I am an aspiring yogi. Life is a journey and if we open our hearts and minds, yoga will transform that journey into an extraordinary one. For me, writing is a creative expression of my thoughts and ideas. But it also helps to clarify and solidify my thinking on issues that are important to my personal growth and life journey. So this is a place where I can bring together my love of babies, yoga and writing, and share it with other likeminded yogis.
I discovered yoga in 1999, while working for an accountancy firm in London which offered free lunchtime yoga classes. Figuring I had nothing to lose, I tried it out and became hooked! It wasn’t until I moved to Australia in 2005 that I really started getting serious about my yoga practice, attending classes at Elixr 3 – 4 times a week. In 2008 I undertook teacher training with Amanda Fuzes at the Rose Bay Yoga Room. The following year, I studied with Trevor Tangye at Elixr, also undertaking Simon Borg-Olivier’s anatomy course. During 2010 and 2011, I practising Mysore style (self practice) Ashtanga yoga at Jois Yoga in Bondi, also writing their monthly newsletter.
Since becoming a mum in 2010, I have been enjoying specialising in teaching pregnancy and post natal yoga. I started teaching my own prenatal yoga classes in 2011 – you can find out more about the classes on http://www.mothernurtureyoga.com.au.
Thanks for taking the time to read my blog. I hope the articles give you an opportunity to consider aspects of your own yoga journey. I would love to hear what you think, so please leave a comment or contact me directly.
